Thank all of you who have voted for Jurina, either you are a Jurina oshi or not, be you a Nagoya native, a pro-wrestling fan or an SKE supporter.
Also thank you too if you for some reasons did not vote for Jurina but supported her winning because you believe the girl deserves this.
Because she truly, truly does.
Though there are people might not agree. Some would say this is such a predicted and boring win; that management played it unfair, building up the momentum by choosing Nagoya dome as the venue; or that Jurina did not break a certain member’s record.
Maybe it’s all true, but that doesn’t really matter to me as a Jurina fan, because it never really matters to Jurina. The girl doesn’t care if you think it’s predicted, uncredibled, or not ground-breaking enough. When Jurina wants her victory, she wants it, and she makes sure the world know how bad she wants it.
Also not many people approve such straightforwardness. ‘Desperate’, they say, or ‘Shameless’, ‘Aggressive’, ‘Lacking modesty’, ‘Improper’, and many other words in between. But they have been voicing their criticism for 10 years and have never succeeded in stopping Jurina. I don’t think they ever will.
That’s the beauty of our girl. In a brutal world where many are still unreasonably assuming that they have some kind of authorities to set standards for others and always too eager to judge, also where many are still fighting the unnecessary but uncontrollable urge to care about others’ opinions, Jurina, who is never afraid of voicing her ambitions and stubbornly hunts it down the most straightforward way possible, who has been receiving hate for 10 years just because being true to who she is, is simply and purely breathtaking.
Tell me, is it really wrong for a girl to know what she wants, fight for it with all her might, cry when her best effort isn’t enough but still determined to stand up after that? And tell me, is it wrong for that girl to show unfiltered happiness and joy after getting her triumph? If it is, then what kind of sick and unhealthy societies we are building?
Jurina wants to go worldwide now. Will it be less or even more cruel environment than the 48 fandom, I wouldn’t know. But as a fan, I have decided that in order for Jurina to continue to be her glorious self unapologetically, I too will
unapologetically
protect her.
In other words: My idol is ambitious, competitive, embarrassingly extra, fearless and confident, so what exactly is your problem? Your girl can play the ‘lacking-confidence’ cinderella card if they want to, but Jurina will take her fans from one conquer to another, from one teppen to the next. And we will fight with her and fight for her.
Not everyday will be victory day. Jurina had cried for the last 5 SSK before she reaches this place.There for sure will be days ahead when Jurina can’t help but shedding tears. But we will take that day when it comes. For today though, I wish for Jurina and all her fans to be as smug and proud as possible, and flaunt this moment as much as possible.
Because for Jurina, who for 10 years as an idol has never failed her fans even once, we finally show her that this time, in this place and this moment, we did not fail her either.
